Daily Care for the Skin

There are simple tasks we make everyday that causes our skin to dry and we are unaware of them.  Tasks such as drumming away at the computer, flipping pages of documents , shuffling files, handling papers, washing hands in the loo and even air-conditioning can also be damaging to the skin.  To avoid drying our hands when we cannot avoid these daily tasks, you can apply a rich moisturizer on your hand and body.

The cold air from the air conditioning is also dehydrating.  Use a night cream for the face and a body moisturizer for legs, arms and hands to protect your self from drying.

Although bating is good generally, don’t overbath because over cleansing can hurt the skin rather than help it.  Limit your bath time to 10 minutes.

Always use cleansing products that are gentle to your skin type.  Don’t bathe in hot water, but rather in warm water.  The hot water can strip your body’s own protective oils away.

When done bathing, don’t rub yourself really hard or roughly with the towel.  Remember that wet skin is easily bruised and more fragile than dry skin.

Use moisturizer to lock in the moisture you have just absorbed during your bath.
